She Rocks the Spectrum
A Therapy Center for Autistic Girls & Women

Welcome!
I'm Lea Choi.
You Are Not "Too Much"— You Are More Than Enough! Many autistic girls and women spend their entire lives trying to fit in, trying to be “normal,” and trying to be understood. They become experts in masking, in shrinking themselves, in adapting to environments that weren’t built for them. But at some point, the exhaustion of constantly performing, pleasing, and proving yourself catches up. Maybe you’ve always felt different but didn’t know why. Maybe you’ve been misdiagnosed, dismissed, or told you were "just anxious" or "too sensitive." Maybe you’re tired of constantly wondering who you really are underneath all the masks. That’s where I come in. I help autistic girls, women, and gender-diverse individuals unmask, rediscover themselves, and build a life that feels real.

Unmasking & Reclaiming Who You Are
Therapy is not about "fixing" you. It’s about letting go of the stories that have told you you’re not enough and creating a life that fits you instead of forcing yourself to fit into life. I help clients: ✅ Recognize the masks they’ve been wearing—and decide which ones to keep, which ones to let go of, and which ones to reshape into something healthier. ✅ Navigate gender, sexuality, and nontraditional relationships—without fear, shame, or pressure to conform. ✅ Set boundaries that protect their energy—without guilt or constant self-doubt. ✅ Explore sensory needs & special interests—as sources of strength and self-regulation, not something to be "managed" or hidden. ✅ Build relationships that feel safe, balanced, and nourishing—whether with partners, family, or friends.
Autism & Burnout
For many autistic individuals, burnout isn’t just exhaustion—it’s a full-body shutdown. Many of my clients have spent years pushing through sensory overload, social exhaustion, and emotional suppression. Eventually, their body says no more. Signs of autistic burnout include: 🔹 Suddenly losing the ability to mask—things that were once manageable feel impossible. 🔹 Emotional numbness—feeling disconnected, detached, or unable to care. 🔹 Extreme exhaustion—both physically and mentally, even with "enough" rest. 🔹 Increased sensory sensitivities—things that were tolerable before now feel unbearable. 🔹 Loss of identity—questioning everything, including who you are and what you want. If you’re experiencing this, it’s not because you’re weak. It’s because you’ve been surviving in a world that asks too much of you for too long. Therapy can help you: ✅ Recover from autistic burnout without guilt ✅ Set sustainable boundaries to prevent future burnout ✅ Find ways to live that don’t require constant masking & exhaustion
